LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Alok Ranjan fell down in bathroom at his official residence and sustained a head injury on Wednesday. He was rushed to the Lohia hospital where a CT scan and MRI was conducted on him and the reports were normal.
He however, was given a few stitches on his head due to the injury. District Magistrate of Lucknow, Raj Shekhar informed that he had also sustained a sprain in the left hand. He added that the top bureaucrat was however fine now and recovering. Doctors have since advised him complete rest.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav telephonically enquired about his health and asked health officials to look after the chief secretary. Many officials made a beeline to the hospital to call on the injured top official.
