NEW DELHI || Even as some people and some opposition parties continue to question the ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ taken up by prime minister, it seems to be getting support of the people from across the country.
One such person is Chandrakant, a retired Govt employee who has decided to give almost a third of his pension from June 2015 to Sept 2019 to Swachh Bharat Kosh.
Chandrakant gave 52 post-dated cheques, totalling worth Rs. 2,60,000 towards a Swachh Bharat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week met him and lauded him for his noble gesture.
“Meeting Chandrakant Kulkarni was an absolute delight. People like him are true heroes of our nation” prime minister wrote on a social networking website.
