LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced that it will be ensured that arrears of cane growers are cleared by July 31, 2016 and added that the Samajwadi’s will never deviate from the path of development as this was the only way to usher in prosperity and progress.
The chief minister was today addressing a public rally after inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of 153 projects worth Rs 873 crore, which includes a four-lane road between Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur.
On this occasion, the chief minister also benefited the beneficiaries under various welfare schemes rolled out by the state government. In his address, the chief minister also said that the state government was committed to linking all district headquarters to four-lane roads and underlined that the state was focussing in a big way on roads as this was an engine to growth and economic development.
He also pointed out that learned people about economy say that America made roads and roads made America, thereby meaning that better roads meant greater progress and better economy.
Citing the example of the Varanasi- Sonebhadra, Babatpur-Bhadohi, Hamirpur-Kalpi, Moradabad-Sambhal and Bahraich-Shrawasti and other four-lane roads, Mr Yadav informed that so far of the 75 districts in the state, 49 have been linked to four-lane roads.
