LUCKNOW || The Lucknow zoo on Sunday got the first captive sting ray fish in any aquarium across the country. The fish which is feared for its sting, which carries a high-voltage electric current has killed crocodile specialist Steve Irwin in the past.
Zoo officials said the 18-month-old pair of sting ray fishes has been kept in a specially made-to-order tank which can hold 700 litres of water. These fishes will be fed small fishes.
In ten years, zoo officials said they will grow massively in size. They live for almost 80 years.
