LUCKNOW || Amity International School, Lucknow celebrated its seventh Annual Day titled “Vibhuti Charitra Gatha” and organized a meaningful cultural evening today at Amity University Lucknow Campus.
Chief Guest Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma, Secretory to Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, Major General K.K. Ohri (AVSM) Retd., Pro V.C. Amity University Lucknow Campus and Nirmal Ohri, Dr. Qmar Rahman, Dean Research, Science and Technology, Amity university Lucknow Campus inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
School choir and orchestra welcomed the Guests with melodious welcome song “Aap Aa gaye to ye lag raha”, which enthralled the audience. Welcoming the Guests, Ms. Mukta Banrjee, Vice Principal, AIS, Lucknow said that it was a matter of pride that AIS, Lucknow had completed seven fruitful years under the able guidance of Founder President Sir, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan and Dr. Mrs. Amita Chauhan, She urged the students to believe in themselves and work towards achieving their goals.
The Annual Report of school was presented, which highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the Amitians. The rock band of A.I.S, Lucknow mersmerized the audience with their power packed performance.
Chief Guests Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma congratulated the parents and Students and said everybody should be happy in life so keep your child and yourselves happy. He underlined the importance of Hard work and said that there are no shortcuts to achieve success in life.
He said that children are the future if we built them strong, they will make the world better. He said that Amity International School is excellent place for learn.
The highlight of the evening was the spectacular dance drama presented by the senior students, titled, “Vibhuti Charitra Gatha”. India is a land of great social reformers, leaders, educationists who endured the testing times and became the shining examples, the beacon of light and the torch bearers for millions of Indians.
Students today attempted to put forth a glimpse of the inspirational lives of these distinguished personalities through their presentation “Vibhuti Charitra Gatha .The literary acumen of Kalidas , the teachings of Gautam Buddha, the devotion of Meera , the revolutionary thinking of Swami Dayanand, the creativity of Tagore and the brilliance of Shri A. P.J Abdul Kalam were shown through various episodes taken from their lives.
Students put in great efforts as they portrayed the greatest poet and dramatist, Kalidas. The role of Kalidas was potrayed by Aryan Vatsa of class V. The presentation on Gautama Buddha, the primary figure in Buddhism, an enlightened and divine teacher won the appreciation of one and all.The role of Gautam Buddha was played by Mihir Raj and Divyansh Pandey of class VI.
. Audience applauded the performance of students as they presented a skit on Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the founderof Arya Samaj, a reformer and a renowned scholar of the Vedic lore. Swami Dayanand Saraswati was aptly depicted on stage by Harsh Babuta and Prabhav Trivedi of class VII, Meera’s devotion for Krishna was realistically presented on stage through a beautiful dance drama.
Meera was well enacted by Anushka Singh of class VIII Nobel laureate and India’s most distinguished poet and writer ,Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore’s dance drama ‘Chandalika ‘was beautifully presented by the students of class IX. The role of Chandalika was played by Anisha Singh of class IX.
Inspirational episodes from the life of scientist turned statesman and “People’s President,Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam were enacted out by students of class XI. The main roles in this skit were realistically potrayed by Avish Srivastav ,Vishal Gupta ,Abhinav Mani Tripathi of class XI
