NEW DELHI || Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has lashed out at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) over the proposed fare hike and termed the proposal anti people.
In a tweet on Thursday, the Aam Adam Party AAP) chief also informed his followers and supporters that he has asked Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot to see how can a way be found to stop the hike in Metro Rail fares.
Kejriwals comments came after the DMRC is reportedly hiking the fares of the train for the second time in a year. Delhi Metro fares last were increased in May when the minimum fare was hiked from Rs 8 to Rs 10 and the maximum fare was hiked from Rs 30 to Rs 50.
The Delhi Metro fares were increased following the recommendations of the fourth Fare Fixation Committee.
