HC seeks reply in petition for CBI enquiry against UP minister Gayatri Prajapati

LUCKNOW || The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today sought reply from the Police on activist Nutan Thakur’s petition seeking CBI enquiry into the FIR registered by her against mining minister Gayatri Prajapati, State Women Commission Chairman Zarina Usmani and others at ps Gomtinagar.

courtsThe bench consisting of Justice Ajai Lamba and Justice Ravindra Nath Mishra-II said that the petitioner seeks CBI enquiry in the matter because she does not expect fair investigation from the police agencies of Uttar Pradesh.

The Court said that Nutan alleged that firstly the FIR was not registered despite her presenting it before the police and subsequently Final report was filed within 03 days without recording relevant references and no reasons for concluding so were presented.

The Order said that dissatisfied with the Final report, Nutan presented an application before CJM Lucknow who directed for reinvestigation but it is still pending for last 04 months.

Based on these facts, the Court directed the investigating officer to file Parawise reply, presenting the investigation done till date. The next date of hearing has been fixed on 15 July 2016.
