LUCKNOW || The IPL team of Gujrat Lions called on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav late on Sunday night. The players who met Yadav and his family included captain Suresh Raina, fast bowler Praveen Kumar and others.
They thanked the chief minister for the match played at the Greenpark stadium in Kanpur and said that a lot of good work, promotion and encouragement was being done for sportspersons in the state under the leadership of the young chief minister.
The chief minister assured the visiting team players that his government would always encourage sports and players and informed them that an international cricket stadium would soon be ready in the state capital. Present during the meeting was principal secretary (information) Navneet Sehgal.
