LUCKNOW || Despite the heat wave, compounded by heavy humidity, many schools in the state capital are reopening after summer vacations on Monday.
While a majority of schools in the city will only reopen on July 1, some schools like Study Hall, Scholars Home, City Montessori School, Springdale and St Joseph are opening from tomorrow, officials said.
Parents have petitioned the school management and the district administration that there be a parity in reopening of the schools and that all schools should reopen only on July 1.
Monsoons are likely to hit this week and the mercury is likely to come down, plead parents. Schools are however saying that owing to early summer vacations, much of the course has not been completed and hence there was no point delaying the reconvening of the schools.
