LUCKNOW || Influenced by the film policy of Uttar Pradesh, eminent film actor Mr Pankaj Kapoor has showered praises on the policy maker and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. In a recently-held meeting with Vishal Kapoor (member of UP Film Development Council), the veteran Bollywood actor had said that the policy framed by the UP CM would definitely attract film-makers in the state.
Pankaj Kapur also termed the policy of the state government as a revolutionary step. Prior to this, Vishal Kapoor explained nuances about UP’s film policy to Pankaj Kapoor and his wife Supriya Pathak. Vishal said, “The intention of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is to provide an opportunity to people to show their talents by developing the film industry. This would also provide ample employment opportunities to people of the state.”
Vishal Kapoor also told that for the first time, the film policy of Uttar Pradesh would be showcased beyond the boundaries of Uttar Pradesh – at Cannes Film Festival. During the interaction, the husband-wife duo were also presented with a number of books and booklets pertaining to the new film policy of the state.
Pankaj Kapur evinced interest in meeting the UP CM during his next visit, and recalled his connection with the state. He told that his father used to stay in Jaunpur district.
