NEW DELHI || A day after exit polls brought cheer to the saffron camp amid predictions that the BJP will win Assam state assembly polls and might open accounts in both West Bengal and Kerala, the party suffered reverses in the MCD polls in Delhi on Tuesday.
It could win only three seats of the 13 that went for by polls recently. It held seven of these seats earlier. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which contested these polls for the first time won five, though it hoped to replicate its stunning assembly polls a year back.
The poll results brought some cheer for the Congress, which is predicted for an exit in all states, by the exit polls. It won four MCD seats.
